If you wish to come to one of our office locations, there are three locations:

• Sumter EMC Headquarters, 1120 Felder Street, Americus, GA (Mon - Fri 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
• Southern District Office, 133 Century Road West, Leesburg, GA (Mon - Fri 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 - 5 p.m.)
• Cusseta District Office, 300 A US 520, Cusseta Crossing, Cusseta, GA, (Mon - Fri 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 - 5 p.m.).

Call the Accounting department at (229) 924-8041 to claim a refund or submit any questions about this notice or the list.

In compliance with O.C.G.A. §44-12-236 of The Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act, Sumter EMC is attempting to locate former members whose capital credit checks were issued in December 2020, but which have been returned by the U.S. Post Office as “undeliverable” or have otherwise been unclaimed. The last possible date to claim these funds is October 16, 2026. If these funds are not claimed by this date, they will be donated for charitable uses, as permitted by O.C.G.A. §44-12-236.
