About My Bill
Your meter will be read each month, and the bill will arrive approximately one week after the meter is read.
Electric bills are:
-
Due in the Cooperative's Office on or before the due date.
-
PAYMENT MUST REACH OUR OFFICE BY THE DUE DATE TO AVOID A LATE SERVICE CHARGE OF $5.00 or 2.5% OF THE CURRENT BILL, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
-
Service may be discontinued if payment is not received within 25 days from the date billed.
-
Previous unpaid balance may be subject to immediate disconnect and additional deposits. Prior notice of due dates remains in effect.
-
Payment agencies can only accept payments for the full amount of the bill and cannot accept payments after the COLLECTION POINT DATE. See the list of our payment locations, including these payment agencies by clicking here.
Without prior agreement, a member’s service may be disconnected if payment is not received 25 days from the billing date. A delinquent notice will be mailed stating the disconnect date.
Please contact Sumter Electric Membership Corporation prior to the due date of the bill if you are having difficulty paying your bill as required.
