The Sumter EMC Foundation recently awarded Called to Care a grant for $4,875.00 to help purchase beds and bedding for children entering foster care.  Called to Care’s efforts are focused on creating a community of believers who work together to fill the physical, emotional, and social needs of children who are hurting and to help lessen the burden of those who are in direct care of those children.  For over nine years, Called to Care has supported foster children with the help of churches, families, and communities. 

“Called to Care’s commitment to supporting foster families and equipping them with the necessities they need to create an environment for these children to thrive is remarkable.  Through this grant from our Foundation, Sumter EMC is proud to support Called to Care’s mission,” said Andrea Walker, Sumter EMC Foundation Chairman.
