Are you a passionate teacher who has an innovative classroom project? Are you wondering how you could fund this project? Bright Ideas, sponsored by Sumter EMC, is here to fuel that creativity.

We are so excited to kick off our second year of Bright Ideas! This teacher grant program is an incredible way to support the teachers in our service area in bringing their exceptional educational experiences to life. Sumter EMC funds projects beyond the standard curriculum, and we are ready to see your ideas!

Pre-K through 12th Grade teachers could receive anywhere from $500 to $1500 for their Bright Idea. They just need to be Georgia-certified, work at a school in one of the 11 counties served by Sumter EMC (Chatahoochee, Dougherty, Lee, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, or Webster), and plan to use the funds in the 2025-2026 school year. We look for projects that: Encourage teamwork and collaboration; Have clear, measurable learning outcomes; Directly engage students; and Provide lasting educational benefits.

Do you have a Bright Idea? If so, apply by September 19th to see if your idea is selected. Don’t miss this opportunity to bring your innovative teaching ideas to life and make a lasting impression on your students' education!
