The Sumter EMC Foundation recently awarded GraceWay Recovery Residence a $5,000.00 grant for the purpose of helping fund their fencing project to enhance the safety and security of GraceWay residents. GraceWay provides residential recovery support and houses up to 13 residents in their intensive recovery support program and up to 18 residents at The Way Sober Living Apartments.  Since opening in 2003, hundreds of residents have completed the residential program and 70% are sober, productive citizens today.

Andrea Walker, Sumter EMC Foundation Chairman, recently visited GraceWay Recovery Center.  “The dedication and devotion of the staff at GraceWay is remarkable.  They strive to enable women to overcome their addictions and to provide a pathway to lead productive lives.  Through this grant from our Foundation, Sumter EMC is proud to be a part of providing a safe home for the women being served by GraceWay Recovery Residence.”
